I had mixed feelings about watching this after I read its synopsis. I've seen gambling in anime before, but never one dedicated to it. Much less in a school setting! The genre itself isn't one of my favorites either. But I'm open minded, so I pushed through its first three episodes.
I have to admit, I was very impressed by it. It's very entertaining to see how the dynamics at this High School work and learn about even better gamblers than the last. The games themselves are always high stakes and are entertaining to watch beginning to end. There's a huge psychological aspect to this anime because those who are unlikely to win or about to lose, almost always lose their sh^t before the conclusion of a game.
So far, the main character has already been in a decent amount of games and continues to rise within the school. We get a lot of glimpses of who runs the school and I honestly can wait to see the MC go against them.
If you have nothing else to watch, I would recommend watching this for entertainment. I don't exactly recommend it so far but if you have nothing else to watch then heck, give it a try. Chances are you've never seen an anime like this before.
